Humans vs Zombies
A survival game played in the semi-dark, deserted library. It is a cross between tag and hide-and-go-seek, but with a zombie twist. Participants must wear jeans with a back pocket and sneakers. Everyone gets an ID card which tells participants if they are a Zombie or Human. This information is kept a secret. Participants also need one sock grenade (used to stun zombies) and a bandana. When the game begins, teens have two minutes to disperse throughout the library. Humans must place their bandanas in their back pockets so that at least half is hanging out. Zombies must tie their bandanas around their wrist/arm and leave their sock grenades on a bookshelf. Zombies must kill humans to survive. Humans must find water (hidden bottles in the library) and avoid being turned into a zombie. The Zombie who kills the most Humans is the winner. The Human who obtains the most water and remains alive is the winner. The game ends when time is up or when all Humans are Zombies. Zombies kill Humans by removing the bandanas from the back pocket. The Human then becomes a Zombie.

Make a Gift Program
Teens donated their time to measure out 54 soup mix jars and 54 cookie mix jars that are donated to the Matawan Food Pantry. Teens have to measure out the ingredients for each jar and then decorate the jars. There is usually enough left over for each teen to make a soup mix or cookie jar of their own to give during the holiday season.
