Technical Services

Our next meeting will be held on July 17th at 10 with refreshments beginning at 9:30.  We will be meeting in Meeting Room A at the Bridgwater Public Library, 1 Vogt Drive, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.

We will be discussing some program ideas for the upcoming year.

Come to the Technical Services Section Meeting!  This will be our first meeting after the NJLA 2015 Conference and we will be evaluating how our programs went and talk about future plans for the upcoming year.  We will be meeting at the Bridgewater branch of the Somerset County Library located at 1 Vogt Dr, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 in the Silverstein Administrative Conference Room.  The meeting begins at 10:00, but we will have coffee and refreshments beginning at 9:30.  At the end of every meeting we have an open Q&A to discuss any issues or questions any of the members have encountered. 

We are going to be having our January meeting virtually through Adobe Connect.  You will need headset with a microphone, or just a microphone (We will not be using video, so you do not need a camera).  The meeting will start at 10:30 on Wednesday January 21^st.  If you cannot get a microphone, we will have the chat function enabled.

Jennifer teaches cataloging at Rutgers and Wayne State University and is a trainer for the Library of Congress's Catalogers Learning Workshop (CLW). She has presented workshops on serials cataloging, cataloging electronic resources, metadata standards, and digital library development.
