Virtual Keynote(s) Update

  • Information Literacy Keynote
    • 99 attendees registered
    • Well used, discussion following
    • Zoom went fine, but Adobe Connect
    • Survey went out, just 5 responses so far.
  • Next VK Topic – Gender Neutrality and Inclusiveness. Tara and Theresa are coordinating.
  • James will reach out to find out what the VK budget is for this year.

Conference Program Proposal Updates

  • Gender Neutrality and Inclusiveness - Tara and Theresa are coordinating.
  • Library Morale Program Panel – Create a panel of librarians from different areas of librarianship to lead a positive discussion around library morale.  Also, create a resource of low cost ways to improve employee morale.
  • Information Literacy – The presenters from the extremely popular VK will present as a panel.
  • Fixing Stuff and Creating Community - Repair Cafes - Larissa Brookes Ridgewood Library NJ and John Wackman, Repair Cafes of Hudson Valley http://www.repaircafehv.org/about, will talk about how Repair Cafés have helped their residents and create community.  Co-Sponsored by New Jersey Makers Day

Memberclicks Update

  • The https://njla.org site is now the Memberclicks based site
  • All membership updates, event registration and E-lists are now running through Memberclicks.
  • On November 1st the old NJLA Members Google Groups will be disabled.  All other Google Suite features such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar etc will remain available.  We will look into whether a message can be set up for people who try to use the disabled groups after November 1st.
  • Another reminder about Memberclicks will be sent out before the deadline.

“Know Your Why” Podcasts

  • These are still in the works and being scheduled.  We hope to have some complete before the release of the next PD Newsletter in January.
  • We discussed how to create diversity of the podcasts in different ways.
