NJLA Store subcommittee

This year we held stores at the Collingswood Book Festival, Youth Services Forum, the Directors Forum, Adult Services Forum, NJASL, Read Aloud Delaware, an end of year clearance sale at the Monroe Library and of course our own conference in our new venue in Atlantic City

We also expanded the offerings on the website.

This is the third (?) year we were also the bookstore for the conference

And we now take all credit cards via Square so the card is verified immediately and there's no chance of paperwork getting lost or filled out incorrecltly

Goals for Next Year:
Next year we hope to have the same stores plus the Trustee Institute, continue adding to and fine tuning the website. and finding a way to directly deposit the cash from our sales into the NJLA bank account rather than writing a personal check. This will avoid the possible loss of the money thru the mail and speed up the money getting to the office
Other Notes:
The new venue for the conference worked out amazing well for us in the areas of unloading, setting up and loading. I couldn't ask for a closer and better loading dock and excellent help from both our own people and the hotel's staff. Since we had additional tables in the hall in Long Branch, the space we had this year fell a little short. So next year a few additional tables in the hall would be nice even though I'm trying to cut down the amount of stock I carry. And a little bit better communication about the books we carry would be helpful. We had no idea who got the money for some of them, and who took back some of the unsold books.
