This is a list of Presenters/Performers for Adult events that might be beneficial to small libraries in Central Jersey. These Presenters/Performers meet one or more of the following criteria: a) volunteer their time/resources b) visit libraries for a nominal fee and/or c) have been deemed a great success at other libraries. Presenters/Performers are grouped into broad categories. If you are making an addition to this list and your recommendation does not fit within these broad categories, feel free to create an entirely new category. There is some overlap between programming age groups as well as geographical region.

Jersey Shore Chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Jersey Two representatives from the Jersey Shore Chapter visited us one evening in August for a presentation on Native Plants at the Jersey Shore with an emphasis on their importance in the local ecosystem. Catherine Felegi Catherine Felegi, author of Tea Love, visited the Bradley Beach Public Library for a presentation titled "Tea 101: A Brief Introduction." She explained the different types of tea, how tea goes from the plant to the tea tin, and how to brew a proper "cuppa." Tea and dessert were served.

New Jersey Lighthouse Society Two representatives from the NJ Lighthouse Society came to the Bradley Beach Library one evening in July for an hour long presentation. The presentation was titled "Lighthouses of New Jersey." It includes background information on the history of lighthouses, a short discussion of the technology behind lighthouses and their fresnel lenses and a pictorial review of the lighthouses of New Jersey. They bring a laptop or projetor for the pictures as well as some display items to bring the topic to life. This program was well-received by our patrons.
