This is a list of Presenters/Performers for Children's events that might be beneficial to small libraries in Central Jersey. These Presenters/Performers meet one or more of the following criteria: a) volunteer their time/resources b) visit libraries for a nominal fee and/or c) have been deemed a great success at other libraries. Presenters/Performers are grouped into broad categories. If you are making an addition to this list and your recommendation does not fit within these broad categories, feel free to create an entirely new category. There is some overlap between programming age groups as well as geographical region.

| Monmouth County SPCA Read to a Dog Program |
Once a month a volunteer brings her certified pet therapy dog to the Bradley Beach Library so that kids can read to it. The use of trained therapy dogs in reading programs can result in children who feel comfortable reading out loud, read more often, attempt more difficult books, and actually look forward to reading! |

| The Astronomical Society of the Toms River Area |
Two representatives from A.S.T.R.A. visited the Bradley Beach Public Library on a Friday night in July from 9 PM to 12 AM. They brought two huge, beautiful telescopes and set them up on our front sidewalk. For three hours they showed our community members different objects in the night sky and talked passionately about astronomy. |
